Most restoration companies send whoever’s available. We don’t work that way. The crew that shows up at your door in San Francisco is the same crew Rick has trained, background-checked, and trusted on jobs from the Outer Sunset to Bernal Heights. They’re IICRC-, RIA-, and IFA-credentialed, they arrive with shoe covers and drop cloths already on the truck, and they explain the price before anything gets touched. This is who you’ll be working with.
Our People
Marcus T., Lead Water Damage Technician
Marcus has been drying out San Francisco homes for 14 years, the last eight of them with Tidemark. He holds IICRC certifications in Water Damage Restoration and Applied Structural Drying, and he’s the one who first taught our newer techs how to find a tide mark on lath-and-plaster walls in a 1920s Richmond District flat. Marcus grew up in Daly City and still commutes over the hill every morning. He’s the guy who notices when a hardwood floor in a Noe Valley Victorian is cupping before the homeowner does, and he’ll tell you exactly why it’s happening and what it’ll take to fix it. Off the clock, he rebuilds vintage BMX bikes in his garage.
Priya R., Senior Mold Remediation Specialist
Priya came to Tidemark six years ago after working in commercial restoration down the Peninsula. She’s certified through the IICRC in Mold Remediation and through RIA in contents restoration, and she handles the San Francisco jobs where mold has gotten into closets, behind baseboards, or under carpet in a fog-belt bedroom that never quite dried out. Priya is the person who walks you through the difference between what needs professional remediation and what’s just surface staining, and she’ll show you photos of everything before the crew leaves. She lives in the Outer Sunset with two rescue cats and swears by the dehumidifier settings she recommends to clients with old beachside homes.
Danny K., Service Coordinator
Danny is usually the first voice you hear when you call Tidemark Water Damage San Francisco. He’s been with us for five years and knows every neighborhood we serve well enough to route a crew to a Potrero Hill job without sending them into a dead-end alley. Before Tidemark, Danny worked dispatch for a plumbing company in the East Bay, which is where he learned that a live person answering the phone matters more than any script. He’s the one keeping the schedule straight, coordinating with adjusters, and making sure the written price gets to you before the crew arrives. Danny lives in the Mission and plays in a weekend soccer league at Crocker Amazon, so he knows exactly when traffic on Alemany is going to be a problem.
Leslie M., Apprentice Technician
Leslie joined Tidemark a year and a half ago after finishing a construction trades program at City College of San Francisco. She’s working toward her IICRC Water Damage Technician certification under Marcus and has already logged hundreds of hours on extraction and drying jobs across the city. Leslie is the one double-checking equipment placement, logging moisture readings, and making sure the floor protection actually stays where it’s supposed to during a long remediation. She grew up in the Sunset, knows the difference between a sump pump that failed in a garage off Taraval versus one that never existed in the first place, and she’s the first to ask if there are kids or pets in the house so the crew can plan around noise. Outside work, she’s restoring a motorcycle she bought non-running from a neighbor.
Restoration work we handle

One Standard, Every Job
Every person on this team follows the same rules Rick wrote when Tidemark started in 2006. Shoe covers go on at the door. Drop cloths cover the floor before the first piece of equipment comes in. Ask before we move or touch anything. Explain the price before the work. Clean up like it’s our own home. Document the clean-up with a photo before the crew leaves. And if the restoration isn’t done right, the 365-Day Done Right Promise means we come back and make it right, no argument. That’s not a slogan on a truck. It’s the standard Marcus, Priya, Danny, and Leslie are held to on every job in San Francisco, and it’s why Rick would put any one of them in his own house without thinking twice.
Who You’ll Talk To First
If you’re dealing with a water heater that let go in a Cole Valley kitchen, a mold problem in a Marina District closet, or smoke damage from a small fire in a Bayview apartment, start with a call to (831) 400-3496. Danny or another live coordinator answers, asks a few questions, and gets a crew scheduled with a written price before any work starts. The team you just read about is the team that actually shows up.
